Public Hearings for Area Plan on Aging

Southern Maine Aging on Aging (SMAA) will host two public hearings on its 2025-2028 Area Plan for Older Americans Act (OAA) funded services for older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in our service area. SMAA serves York County and Cumberland County with the exceptions of Brunswick and Harpswell.

Agenda items include:

  • Overview of OAA services in Southern Maine
  • Summary of Area Plan on Aging
  • Public comments

The Area Plan on Aging public hearings will take place on Thursday, June 27, in-person from 1pm-2pm at 30 Barra Road, Biddeford, and via Zoom from 2pm-3pm. To register for either option or to request a written copy of the plan, please call 207.396.6500 or 1.800.427.7411. A draft of the Plan can be reviewed online here between June 12 and June 28.

Written comments are welcome and must be received by Friday, July 12. Comments may be submitted:
