What's Happening at the Sam L. Cohen Center

Here's just a few of our latest programming initiatives:

Paint Parties

Paint parties have been growing in popularity in just about every city you visit! At the Sam L. Cohen Center, we host our very own Paint Party that have been becoming more and more popular! In this program, members are led though an instructional painting class, working step by step to create beautiful and unique works of art.  In February, members painted Love Birds for Valentine’s Day! Also pictured here are the St. Patrick’s Day inspired paintings that we created just this month. There are so many talented artists at the Sam L. Cohen Center and we have a blast creating together! Stay tuned for more of our upcoming Paint Party projects and other crafts.

Music Therapy

We offer music in many different forms daily. Additionally, our staff leads multiple musical groups throughout the week with instruments, including ukuleles and hand percussion, which are all played by the members.

Men's Group and Ladies Tea

Recently we've started two groups that encourage reminiscing. The Ladies Tea takes on a formal setting with porcelain tea cups. The Men's Group meets in the living room and often the discussion focuses on military service as we have many veterans attending regularly.

Pet Therapy

Elton is the Sam L. Cohen Center's familiar, furry face. Elton is a constant source of joy and entertainment for the members.
