The Exchange

The Exchange: Southern Maine Alliance for Older Adults

Quarterly Networking Event

The Exchange: Southern Maine Alliance for Older Adults meets via Zoom and is a networking event open to any non-profit, business, volunteer organization, community partner, or member of the community working on behalf of the older adult population in York and Cumberland counties. It provides an opportunity for people to connect, collaborate, and share resources as we aim to improve the health and well-being of older adults in Maine.

Each Exchange meeting is focused on a topic relevant to aging adults and caregivers in Maine. Three to four panelists from local organizations present their corresponding resources, and other attendees are welcome to offer other resources and to ask questions of the presenters. Recent Exchange topics have included:

  • Cultural Responsiveness
  • Housing Resources and Older Adults
  • Veterans Services in Maine
  • Supporting Older Adults in the Winter Months
  • Vaccinations for Older Adults
  • Caregiver Resources
  • Building Cultural Connections with Diverse Communities
