Administrative Assistant II
Southern Maine Agency on Aging is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant II for its Adult Day Center in Biddeford. The Administrative Assistant II is responsible for a wide variety of high level administrative and clerical duties including:  initiating and completing new member intake process; preparing monthly billing; working with a number of different funding sources; processing cash transactions; answering inquiries by phone; fulfilling information requests; setting up and maintaining efficient office procedures and filing systems; and serves as the point person for the entire department and ensures that systems are efficient and running smoothly.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Qualifications include: Post-secondary education in a related field and at least two years of experience as an administrative assistance in a business office, or the equivalent in education and experience required. a high level of proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office 2010 programs, especially Word and Excel;  experience with, and interest in, social networking; judgment and initiative required to work independently to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance; excellent interpersonal skills for dealing tactfully with staff, members and the general public; proficiency in general office procedures and organizing a complex set of administrative systems and procedures; and proficiency in verbal and written communications. Experience in working with the elderly and other social service programs is preferred.
