The Southern Maine Agency on Aging helps older adults and adults with disabilities - and their families - sort through the many programs and services available to help older adults live independently well into their elder years. Our Resource Specialists work with seniors - and their families - by phone or in-person to provide information, support, and referrals.

Information and Resources
The Resource Specialists at the Southern Maine Agency on Aging are knowledgeable, well-qualified individuals who can provide information, resources, options counseling, support, and referrals for you and/or your caregiver. Our Specialists are available to assist by phone, by appointment at our office in Scarborough, at various locations in our communities.

Options Counseling
Our Options Counseling can help you learn about the services you, or someone you care for, may need over time.

How Our Resource Specialists Can Help
The Southern Maine Agency on Aging's staff are well-qualified individuals who can provide information, resources, support, and referrals.

Our Resource Specialists and Family Caregiver Specialists are masters or baccalaureate prepared, licensed with geriatric experience, and are well-versed in issues affecting older adults as well as the programs and services to help.
