Sam L. Cohen Center

Opened in January 2016, the Sam L. Cohen Center in Biddeford is a purpose-built adult day center that supports up to 50 members daily while providing caregiver support through classes, workshops, and one-on-one outreach.

About the Sam L. Cohen Center

The Sam L. Cohen Center provides a home away from home experience for members. The rooms feature warm colors, comfortable furnishings, and decorative touches that make the center an inviting and engaging space that allows the staff to fully implement a person-centered program for each of our members.

Different activity spaces, such as a therapeutic kitchen, arts and crafts room, a quiet room, a living room, and great room, help members enjoy activities and entertainment that decrease boredom, increase positive social interactions, and improve overall health and well-being.

The Sam L. Cohen Center also features an enclosed garden patio where members can enjoy the outside in a safe way without feeling constrained or restricted.

Our Activities

The Sam L. Cohen Center offers members a diverse array of activities and programming based on the latest research surrounding brain health and socialization for people with dementia. We strive to innovate with our art and music programming while our members constantly amaze us with the artwork they create with some guidance.
